ANOMALITH Fan Creation Guidelines

FuRyu Corporation (hereinafter “FuRyu” or “we”) has established these Fan Creation Guidelines (hereinafter the “Guidelines”) so that more people can discover and enjoy ANOMALITH (hereinafter the “Game”).

Please observe the provisions below and enjoy creating and sharing fan works.

 

1. Definitions

(1) “Individual” means a person who is not affiliated with or under contract with a company involved in creator activities such as video or still-image posting, a talent agency, a management company, or a production company.

(2) “Business/Corporate User” means a person who is affiliated with or under contract with a company involved in creator activities such as video or still-image posting, a talent agency, a management company, or a production company, as well as a company or sole proprietor.

(3) “User” collectively refers to anyone who enjoys the Game, including the persons described in the preceding items.

(4) “Fan Creation Activities” means the activities described in Section 2, “Permitted Scope of Fan Creation Activities.”

 

2. Permitted Scope of Fan Creation Activities

(1) Creating, publishing, and distributing doujinshi and other fan works such as illustrations, manga, and novels, including digital works.

(2) Creating, publishing, and distributing cosplay costumes based on characters from the Game.

(3) Cosplaying as characters from the Game, and taking, publishing, and distributing cosplay photographs and videos.

(4) Creating, publishing, and distributing merchandise, accessories, figures, and other three-dimensional fan works.

(5) Streaming or posting videos, and posting still images, using footage or screenshots captured during normal gameplay.

* When engaging in any of the activities above, please clearly indicate together with the work that it is an unofficial fan creation.

* For the video streaming/posting and still-image posting described in (5) above, please also be sure to review Section 6, “Video Streaming and Still-Image Posting of Normal Gameplay.”

 

3. General Provisions

To engage in Fan Creation Activities, you must read and agree to these Guidelines.

If you do not agree to these Guidelines, you may not engage in Fan Creation Activities.

By engaging in any Fan Creation Activity, you will be deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Guidelines.

 

4. Who May Engage in Fan Creation Activities

These Guidelines apply only to non-commercial Fan Creation Activities published or distributed by Individuals.

If a Business/Corporate User wishes to engage in Fan Creation Activities, or if an Individual wishes to engage in Fan Creation Activities that are expected to exceed the criteria set forth in these Guidelines, please contact FuRyu individually in advance through the designated inquiry channel.

However, Business/Corporate Users may freely create, publish, distribute, or otherwise use content introducing the Game that uses video footage or still images captured during normal gameplay, provided that such content does not violate Section 7, “Prohibited Activities.”

 

5. Criteria for Non-Commercial Use

Fan Creation Activities will be presumed to be non-commercial when they are carried out without the purpose of making a profit.

Activities carried out as a hobby will also fall within the scope of non-commercial use when any compensation or profit received is limited to approximately the amount necessary to cover materials, utilities, and other expenses associated with the Fan Creation Activities.

Monetization through advertising systems provided by video-sharing platforms such as YouTube will also not be treated as commercial use.

 

6. Video Streaming and Still-Image Posting of Normal Gameplay

(1) In order to allow as many Users as possible to enjoy the Game, we may designate certain sections as restricted from streaming or posting for a limited period of time. Please refer to the separate Streaming Guidelines, which will be published at a later date, for details.

(2) When streaming videos or posting still images, please respect to the greatest extent possible other Users’ opportunity to experience and enjoy the Game for themselves.

(3) If your stream or post contains spoilers, such as important parts of the story, please clearly indicate that it “Contains Spoilers” out of consideration for those who have not yet played the Game. Please also keep in mind that people who have not yet played may encounter spoilers unintentionally. In particular, do not include spoiler text or images in video titles or thumbnails when streaming or publishing videos.

(4) When streaming videos or posting still images, you must include the following copyright notice:

(5) If any published or streamed video or still-image post contains content described in Section 7, “Prohibited Activities,” FuRyu may, at its discretion, take legal action, including measures to have the content removed. FuRyu will not individually review, authorize, endorse, or promote videos posted by Users as official FuRyu videos.

 

7. Prohibited Activities

The following are prohibited even when carried out by an Individual if they fall under, or may fall under, any of the categories below.

If a work contains any content described in items (1) through (8), FuRyu may, at its discretion, take legal action, including measures to require the work to be removed from public access. Please review the following carefully.

(1) Content that is contrary to public order or morals.

(2) Content that infringes the rights of any third party.

(3) Content that includes the purpose of promoting specific products or services, or engaging in religious activities.

(4) Content that includes expressions that promote, or may promote, discrimination, prejudice, defamation, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, beliefs, or other attributes.

(5) Content involving criminal acts, antisocial activities, or other violations of laws or regulations, or content that includes expressions or purposes that endorse or encourage such acts.

(6) Use by a specific political party, political organization, politician, candidate, or similar party, or content that includes expressions or purposes supporting any such party or person.

(7) Content that is presumed to lack creative originality, including direct reuse of content from the Game (such as logos, illustrations, videos, audio, music, or manga), or use of such content through scanning, tracing, or similar methods.

(8) Using the Game or any part of it to train generative AI or any other automated content-generation technology, or generating content using the results of such training, whether in whole or in part.

(9) Content that falsely claims or may create the false impression that it is sponsored, approved, or affiliated with FuRyu.

(10) Any other content that FuRyu deems inappropriate.

 

8. Other Provisions

(1) FuRyu makes no guarantee and assumes no responsibility for any loss arising from Fan Creation Activities undertaken by Users, even when such activities comply with these Guidelines.

(2) These Guidelines may be changed without prior notice.

(3) Please note that FuRyu may refrain from responding to inquiries regarding the content or interpretation of these Guidelines.

(4) If any provision of these Guidelines is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect and will not be affected.

(5) Fan Creation Activities will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. In the unlikely event of a dispute between FuRyu and a User in connection with Fan Creation Activities, the Tokyo District Court or Tokyo Summary Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.

Fan Creation Activities that infringe the rights of FuRyu or any other party may expose the User to legal penalties or liability.

Please enjoy Fan Creation Activities while observing applicable laws, rules, and community etiquette.
